Media bias- widespread and systematic favouring in one position in the selection and treatment of stories. Journalists are now more gate watchers than gatekeepers, as social media has turned everyone into journalists as anymore can say anything.  Algorithm's become gatekeepers Algorithm's perpetuate the status quo if the information they are given is only within the status quo now we have human bias and technical bias

Basic structure to look for: For formal online find a news article and a government report or a Statista thing Para 1  -Citation/ Your chosen report or academic text that needs MMU Harvard referencing -A 200-250 word summary about that chosen text Para 2  -Another citation from the same text that can be used as referencing -A critical appraisal of the text/  This is just an evaluation and reflection of the authors points and your opinion on them  -How do the ideas and arguments advanced by the author(s) compare with other works in similar areas? Where do they overlap? Where are they different? / compare with other similar products you have researched  -Does the work update other sources, substantiate other materials you have read, or add new information?
